I just built a new computer, I set the bios to boot from the cd-rom. I insert my disk and after a couple of minutes I get to a screen where it asks me to insert a windows 98, millenium or 2000 and hit enter to continue. The only cd I have is the XP pro.
How do I install

It sounds like you have an upgrade version of XP Pro. You need the disk of one of the operating systems you mentioned to be recognized by the setup to prove you own one of those previous operating systems, that is the only way to install the upgrade to windows xp pro.
