Comment: I tried to install last night but it was taking forever to prepare my installation and then it didn't even seem to be doing anything to my computer. The problem was that I didn't get any errors but I went ahead and stopped the installation anyway. I read that after it performs the dynamic update, the setup program will reboot your computer. Does it always do that? Any help would be appreciated

Reply: (edit)It restart on it's own on all the computers I seen, perhaps you should try doing clean install. It will be good if you specify your system properties aka system specification.

Reply: (edit)I too have exactly the same problem as Scott. I've even tried a clean install & believe you me, it still doesn't install. I've spent almost 2 days in solving it & I'm begining to lose my patience. I would appreciate very much if there is anyone out there who can offer me any advice.

Reply: (edit)Go to the Windows XP newsgroup at the Microsoft web site and ask them your question. I've been helped a lot there.
