windows xp pro sp2 and autocad

I purchased a computer with xp pro. media edition. I was told I could access my domain at work on the computer. After finding out I could not, I was give an upgrade edition of windows xp pro. sp.2 from the dealer. I installed that system. The computer now takes 15 minutes before my autocad program or earthlink can be accessed. But when I try to access solitaire it only takes a couple of seconds. Any thoughts of how to fix this. I have reinstalled xp pro sp.2 and autocad twice and it still does the same. I have norton internet security 2005 also on the computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

do an internet search or even look on this site for the standard xp tweaks. there are tons of interface changes you can make that will exponentially speed program launches up. Also, make sure you run a defrag after the upgrade.
