Hiya Guys,

I have a Pico laptop Model 89, i am running windows XP Pro on it i am wondering os there any programs or anything i can do to make it a little bit more better running on the laptop as it laggs a little. I am looking out for some cheap ram for it.

That rig barely meets minimum spec for XP. There are a few things you can do but seriously unless you can boost ram to at least 256mb I'd say forget it. Revert to 98SE. If you can get more ram and want to persist with XP then visit www.blackviper.com and review his guide to turning off un-needed services. You just might get it to run a little better

I have a PIII laptop.

P3 500mhz, 256ram. Runs great..
Scale it down. to make it run better:

Right click on "My Computer" "Properties" "Advanced Tab" "Performace settings tab"

Choose "Adjust for best performance"

I then look in there and select
"Use common tasks in folder"
I choose that cause it's handy. Do that and keep you start up programs to a minimum. Example, only programs I have load up are: AVG anti-virus, and yahoo.

Works perfectly and no hiccups.
