Hi, I seem to have that NTOSKNRL error when I boot my XP Pro. It was working fine till I install Windows codename Longhorn. I guess that after the automated Longhorn installation, my XP Windows Root file name changed. I edited the boot.ini to suit the new XP Pro root folder but it still says /system32/ntosknrl.exe is mssing or corrupt, pls..... Any talents have better approach towards this prob? Thanks experts

Ok, I spooted it, the boot.ini is corrupt. After I installed Longhorn, IT named itself WINDOWS and leaving my XP Pro funny names, and when I boot, it goes into the "welcome" screen and stops there. You have any methods to delete/renaming the WINDOWS and renaming the XP root folder back to WINDOWS so everything is back. THanks for the replication w3

Kevin, you really need to format. Because you will spend more time getting longhorn off. I know first hand! I have tested all 3 version.
