Hello, I'm hoping you cab help me. I recently tried to set up my system to recieve automatic updates but when I found the appropriate tab in system it was disabled. And I can't find a way to turn it on. Was it something i did when I installed my operating system or is it something more sinister? I am currently being bugged by the "About Blank" homepage hijack and this has thrown a few odd glitches into the system (still cannot get rid of it and I have followed all the tips and hints!), I would really appreciate some help here guys.

Thanks in advance.

START > RUN and type SERVICES.MSC

This will display all your services in XP; make sure automatic updates are ENABLED and starup type = automatic.

Good luck.

First, download and run spybot-search & Destroy. You can get it here:

Then go back and into the control panel, system, and Auto updates tab. Then Check the box that says "Keep my computer up to date..."

If you need more help Alert ME.
