windows xp on software raid0

i know software stripping can be set up in windows xp disk management but can windows itself be installed on this software raid0? or does a raid controller have to be used?

software raid is a bad idea. i would strongly suggest going hardware-based raid. however if u insist go here...

you need to convert your hard drives to dynamic disks. keep in mind software raid is much more unstable. a bad crash can render your array unusable and a system restore will not help. also, winxp is NOT capable of booting from a dynamic volume, and you cant format a dynamic volume from xp setup. you would therefore have to install xp onto a small boot partition (say 1-2 Gb), then use the rest of the space on the drive to set up your RAID. not cool if u ask me.
