Reply: (edit)I am just guessing but it sounds like a hardware issue to me. Not the hard drive but maybe something else. Disconnect everything except you hard drive and see if it will boot. If still no change, go into the BIOS and go to the Periphals section and under Onboard Device start disabling on-board components like LAN, Audio, 1394, RAID, USB, ETC. If it boots with these disabled then you know that one of these components has failed.

Reply: (edit)Things to check: On the CMOS jumper (right next to the BIOS battery) are pins 1 & 2 jumpered? If not, they should be. Reseat your memory. Try a bootable OS like Knoppix. The OS will boot from a CD without the need of a hard drive. If the OS loads, than you can pretty much assume it is software issue that resides on your hard drive. Reload Windows. If the OS does not load, you have a hardware issue. Knoppix is free. Knoppix Download Link: http://www.kernel.org/pub/dist/knop... How to use Knoppix: http://www.knoppix.net/
