Hello everyone!

I have this problem:
Customer brought this computer to my shop to be repaired. The machine was freezing/crashing every time he was on line. I reset BIOS because this machine did not boot. At this time it did work, no crashing, no freezing…customer went home. As soon as he got home problem begun again.
I checked AC from the wall outlet…it was fine.
 Power supply voltage was ok too.
 CPU temperature 46 Celsius.
 Re-installed Windows XP
 Changed mouse/keyboard
 Nothing seems to work.
 Computer crashes went connecting to Internet.

PC aspects:
Pentium 4
330 Watts Power supply
CDROM/CDBURNER Floppy.
Video/sound/LAN/USB are all on board.
512 RAM
30 GG Hard drive

Computer has been moved to 3 different rooms! still nothing.
Second machine is in and working with no problem!

Please advise me on this! I am lost.

Thanks for your repplies!

Robert

Perchance his internet connection was forcing sasser down his connection and it caused the machine to reboot during a trojan install?

Are you sure that the modem is compatible with the MB and other hardware? Maybe try another modem.

What you're describing could be a host of things. First thing I'd check was obviously to see if there are conflicts (in the device manager.)

Thanks guys for your repplies!
I just reformatted the hard drive/re-installed Windows XP..manchine is working Ok now.
Here I am using a router/firewall, I think that's making a difference.
This PC connects to internet on a hig speed modem, not a 56k internal modem

Any advice\opinions are welcome!

PS: I don't mind sharing profits. I am a guy that helps a lot of people fix their computers over the phone, I charge nothing to them.......but I have learned a lot from it.
