Dual-booting is increasingly becoming popular among home PC users, partly because, it now involves not nearly the hassle you would except to go through many years ago setting up that type of arrangement. If you know what you are doing - there is nothing to worry about. And as far as safety, there is nothing unsafe about the setup. I actually believe having two or more OS' on the same machine provides you a "screw up" & problem-solving safety net on many levels. Good luck!

I have WinXP and Puppy Linux on here, I hardly use Puppy but should I mess up XP bad, I could boot into Puppy and dump all my crap on an external, so it's all good. Puppy makes a good system for that as well. Medion MIM 2080 Toshiba T2130CT Macintosh Performa 450All working wonderfully.
