Ok,
I've setup more than 2 dozen XP profiles for our office.
They login to an exchange server under our domain for authentication.
All user accounts are structured the same (except admin, which does not apply).
For some reason, under my login, windows XP loads the desktop, then wierdness ensues. The taskbar returns to the "classic" look, and then windows restarts.
I've checked the error log and this is what it gives me:
The application, \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 07/16/2002 @ 14:30:30.108 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 76BC4DD2 (REGAPI!RegPdEnumerateW)
I've reformatted and done a base reinstall of XP. Still, the problem appears. No other logins affect this machine, yet the login can have the same effect on ANY machine (XP profile).
All the user accounts are the same, I can't stress this enough.
Why can this one seemingly sane account crash out an XP box anywhere in the office?
This doesn't happen on my old win2k client...
