You must currently have a roaming profile set-up. Meaning, when you log onto the domain you're having to download your entire profile (including home folder probably)everytime.

This can be sped up in two ways:

1. Have you're domain admin set up your home folder in another folder different from your profile.

2. Have your domain admin allow local caching of your profile.

I canīt configured the roaming profiles.
When i can configured, with Windows XP or Windows 2000 Server. What's the application (Group Policies, etc...)

I have the same issue with XP, amongst other problems with drivers. I am logging on to my 2000 Server with XP and hangs for 5 mins or more on "Applying Personal Settings". I do NOT have a roaming profile set up. The pc sitting right next to me is win2k and I have a faster log on (incidently, the pc right next to me is 7 times slower than my new P4 running XP). This is NOT a roaming profile issue. It's a compatability issue, as with every other issue with XP. XP doesn't recognize many non-MS products (hardware and software), why should recognizing other MS products be any different? I wish I had a solution for you Sergey XP, however, I am in the same boat. I can only rule out the roaming profile.

Try adding your DNS server address to your IP details, also in the advanced settings under IP, disable the Register this connection in DNS, as a final option use the Group Policy snapin in MMC to enable the following setting Computer configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon
this will force XP to authenticate like a windows 2000 client

I feel really stupid at this point. I had DNS wrong. Good point Paul. Sergey, make sure DNS also has forward and reverse pointers in place. Once I put my reverse pointers in, I had no troubles. Incredibly fast logon now.
