When I start my system the Windows interface loads slowly. My BIOS and Windows start up screen load in only about 15 senconds but once my password is typed in Windows take up to 1 minute to load the interface. This happened when I changed:
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters\EnablePrefetcher] from 3 to 5.
Which is a common tweak supposed to speed up Windows start up. However, when it is set to 3 the Windows start up screen takes about 1 minute to load to the password screen and little time to get into the GUI. Any ideas on how to eliminate this trade off for a faster start up?
