I recently had a problem with slow progress in opening programs and running more than one program, so I decided to instal Norton to see if it was a virus problem. It showed that I had Win32.Polipos so I tried getting rid of it as specified on symnatecs website. As soon as I went through all of the processes in getting rid of it my computer immediately started freezing and having tons more problems than before so I decided to just wipe the HD and start new. The problem is that when Windows XP installation gets to registering components the installation freezes. I researched and tried to use just one of my Ram chips at a time and it did not work for any of them. So my question is, does anyone know of any other reason for this? Is it a Hard Drive problem?
