Windows XP installation copy error

Specs: Windows XP, -
i switched from windows 8 consumer preview to windows xp prof S2.
When it's installing it keeps giving like 5 copy errors.
You have 3 options.
- try again
-Skip this part
-Exit Setup.
When i skip like 5 segments the setup cannot start.
Please help!

failure to copy files during install is usually a result of one of two things.
1. faulty/dirty disk or drive
2. bad ram.

The most common is ram errors. Only guessing since you have not provided any specs for the system but suggest you get hold of Memtest86 to test your ram and try installing again with only one stick in the machine.

No system specs provided, no explanation of how you're going about the installation.

You should boot off the XP disc, delete ALL current partitioning, create one or more new partitions & format using NTFS. If you have a SATA HDD, there's several additional steps that will need to be taken because XP doesn't natively support SATA. Please post your complete system specs including the type of HDD you're working with.
