Hi,
I recently bought a new computer that had Windows 2000 as an OS. I tried playing a few games on Win2k but they kept on crashing midway. I decided to install WinXP, here is where the trouble starts.
During the XP upgrade it kept on telling me it can't find files, since my roommate also has a copy of WinXP I borrowed his CD. SAME PROBLEM. It just won't copy the files. I tried various things all to no avail.. I start up setup again and this time switch the CDs everytime the error came up. It worked.
All the files are copied and it reboots, now it just says "Setup cannot find the Windows Installation - please contact your system admin".
What do I do? It was an upgrade, then a clean format - some problem.

I would recommend a clean install of Win XP. BTW I, too, encountered problem when doing an upgrade . FYI , Win 2K isn't for gaming .
