Hi, I just bought Windows XP: Home Edition and just wondering about the dual boot, should i do that?..or not.

Its useful both as a backup OS and a secondary OS for backward compatibility (XP does a pretty good job, but you cant beat 98 for compatibility)

XP has some compatibility problems with certain video cards .I did a dual boot with ME&XP to solve all those problems before committing myself.For me it worked I solved all the little nagging XP problems,got more familiar and comfortable with XP and then removed ME.For awhile I used lots of HD space because all the programs I wanted to use had to be installed twice ..once under each OS.Some I could install over itself some I could not.If you decide to dual boot you will either need 2 partitions or 2 HD.install the older OS first and then from within the older OS install XP as a new installation into the other partition or HD decisions...decisions
