Comment:

I have just upgraded to XP Home from 2000Pro (I never used it's advanced features). I am currently doing some web design, and need to have IIS 5.0 / 5.1 on my system. I don't want to have to re-install 2000 as a dual-boot, or pay again to upgrade to XP Pro. Does anyone know how I can extract IIS 5.0 from 2000 without having to totally mess up my current configuration? Many thanks.

Scroll down to the section about installing IIS on WinXP Pro. It says you cannot install IIS on WinXP Home.

I hope you find a solution -- if you do, please let us know.
