Windows XP hang

Hi, I am running Win XP since about 2 year recently I am facinf a wairred problem, after successfull log on to the system the OS is hanging and I can not run any application for about 20 min. the only thing working is windows explorer. Can you help me.

try going to run, type in msconfig in the start up list, uncheck all except systray, if indeed its listed. if some odd program is trying to startup on boot, then, this might sure the hang. also, look in that startup line in all programs, remove any listings there

in msconfig, I would leave the AV and firewall on start-up, not just the system tray.

Thanks, I did it before i lest the antiviurs only, but it did not work after the log on the network services loaded (i am working on a domain) then it is hangging only windows explorer i can not start any application.
