Comment: Hi, I just made a fresh Windows XP Pro install on my PC, and it seems to have gone OK. However, I have two problems. Firstly, when I try to install the NVIDIA drivers for my video card, it claims that there is not enough disk space, when I know there are gigabytes of it. I've done a chkdisk scan and still nothing. Also, it seems to be shutting down randomly, complaining about RPC something-or-other being unexpectedly terminated then giving me a minute to shut down. I only remember getting this when my other PC was infected by the MSBlast virus, but this can't be it because I it's a fresh install.. Is there any way past this? I have to type this quickly because my PC could shut down any minute. Thanks, Joe F

Reply: (edit)I also did a clean install, and had frequent reboots ( had to shutdown RPC). Then install Antivirus/Firewall, and update them before my computer would behave.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for your help, it turns out I DID have the MSBlast virus on my PC.. I eradicated it and installed the patch, and I also have a firewall & updated virus scanner running, so everything is fine. I also worked out why the NVIDIA drivers weren't working. For some reason, Windows has set my removable smartmedia card drives as C and D, making my Windows partition J. Well, it's working now at any rate.
