Windows XP file transfer problems?

OK, i recently reformatted thinkin everything would be fine... BUT when i started running my comp fresh... i noticed i cant send files to people... i also cannot recieve files in my emails, and sometimes am unable to upload to my ftp... i have no router, hub, or software firewall... i disabled the windows xp default firewall... and i recently downloaded and installed the windows service pack hoping it would fix... any suggestions?

Sounds like you should double-check that XP firewall, make sure you are running the latest drivers for your network card (reinstall them at the least), visit the Windows Update site and check for updates, and poke through your Event Viewer.
Maybe alos make sure your cable is slotted firmly in the modem or NIC, as well as the other physical connections (sounds like packets are being dropped).
If that doesn't help, start a new post with a little more info, such as what happens when you can't send files, any error messages or anything????
