Help! I restarted my computer this afternoon and when it started back up it would not run any program dependent on explorer.exe (Windows explorer, internet explorer, my computer, control pannel...etc). I tried repairing the windows xp installation, I tried the latest updates from Microsoft and nothing works! Does anybody have any ideas? No error message is shown but the desktop clears iteslf and reloads when I try to run the programs.

I am having that same problem, addressed in a message below, everyone seems to have very insightful ideas, and alot of things that may work, but unfortunatly....nothing does. I have a feeling that this is a new virus, and we will have to wait until someone figures it out. You're not the only one!!!!
