Windows XP End Program Problem
Name: woodman Date: June 8, 2008 at 19:16:39 Pacific OS: Windows XP Home SP3 CPU/Ram: 1.66GHz/768RAM
Comment:
End Program dialog box appears on logoff and restart. Must manually end the program. Program name changes each time..last 5 were bcc, 95c, e8c, a60, bc8. Files not found on search of hard drive. No viruses or malware detected with scans by multiple utilities. Any thoughts out there?

Go to Start>Run, enter msconfig and press enter. Check the startup tab for anything odd, such as programs with names that look like random letters. You may ought to post this in the Security and Virus forum as well. They may ask you to post a Hijack This log. But don't do so until they ask you to.
