Win Me will not be nearly as stable or work as well as WinXP. You must be experiencing some sort of hdwe/problem. Without additional info on your system, software, and WinXP compatibility with your system, it is difficult to say what is wrong. The only reason for using Me is if WinXP is not compatible with the hardware of your system, in which case you will have to reformat and buy a copy.

if you upgraded from me to xp, then that could also be your problem.. windows doesn't like upgrades.. your better off doing a fresh install.

yes always go with a fresh install of a new OS. if you are still experiencing problems, save all important data....erase all the OS's then dom a fresh windows XP install...
