I am having this problem:

All of a sudden Windows XP does not load.
Computer will get only to XP logo and that's it; no beeps. This machine had been having problems lately such as: not been able to install new programs.

Any help will be well appreciated!

Try booting into safe mode (F5 on startup). See if it loads, the reason being that it might be something you installed causing it to loop and this would determine this for you.

If it was heat then it would shut down and not loop, a loop means either a long process or a peice of software incorrectly programmed.

Robertt -- Did the advice you got from DaveyB solve the problem? I have the same problem.

I get the XP logo, then a blank screen, and it all cycles again the same way.

Help!!! Please reply with help.
