Windows XP dials out by itself

I have two PCs with XP Pro. They are networked. I have a single dial-up connection on my main PC which is shared with the second PC. Unfortunately the modem keeps dialling by itself. My main PC was even sitting on the login screen and the connection started dialing!
I didn't have any internet programs running. i.e. outlook wasn't trying to check my email.

Make sure you internet conection setting is on always dial my default conection for both machines. If its on dial whenever a network is not present that'll be your problem.

I have this problem as well. If you disable the save password feature for your ISPs it might stop it.
