I have a compaq tablet running windows xp for tablet. The system will crash constantly with a blue screen which disappears so fast I can't read it. Luckily I have windows xp and look into event viewer. Upon boot up the system freezes at the windows xp screen causing me to shut down an power back up again. Finally when I get to the desktop windows sends an error report to microsoft. the error reports comes back and says "the system error was caused by a device driver unfortunately we can't determine where the device driver is causing the error" I looked into device manager and everything looks ok , no yellow exclamtion points,I have no third paty software or hardware installed.I have done a system restore twice. Still the same problems over and over again. The event viewer receords the error and everytime the system crashes the event viewer has the same error. " Source= system error" Category 102 event 1003

You really need to see what the blue screen says....
Untick 'Automatically Restart' in System Properties/Advanced/Startup & Recovery/Settings button and u should get a static BSOD.

If this refers to a memory location, then my bet is ur RAM needs re-seating/replacing.

Im not really sure what the problem is, but i think u should untick the automatic restart option as already suggested, if that doesnt work boot in to safe mode, if it boots fine, then use boot logging to identify exactly which driver is giving the problem, when u finish that and u still have problems, i would suggest two more things, take it back to the store, if its still under warranty, if its not then format and reinstall windows again, after u have done all these and u still have problems, then the tablet probably has a hardware error and needs replacing. hope this helps!!
