windows XP can't open .msc files

Comment:

I use Windows XP Professional. However I can not use gpedit.msc or services.msc, 'couse windows reports that it can't open this files and I must specify the program who can open this files. It worked great before. Any clue?

Are you the Computer's Administrator? You must be it to open such things.
