I have been running windows XP for a number of months now and am very pleased with general workings. I had major problems installing XP with it failing to boot after converting partition to NTFS. The PC would detect hard drives then hand on 'Verifying UDMA' the final tep before kicking in and booting. I spent many hours altering physical configuration then finally, as I removed the secondary hard drive, my main Maxtor 80Gb drive booted. It was fine since, until last night!! Same problem and this time I cannot clear it! I now have very pretious data. As the drive is NTFS I cannot get to it to do anything. Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.
