Whenever I boot into Windows Xp, my account is automatically logged out. The only way to get in is by loading Safe Mode. If I choose Safe Mode with Networking it also just logs me out instantly as soon as I click my account icon. :(

First, are you the system admin? If so, then somehow perhaps it became corrupted (unlikely but possible) and I think you could go to Administrative Tools through Control Panel or the Start Menu and go to Computer Management and then to Local Users and check out Users and then the Admin account. If you not the Admin, then maybe someone has messed with it. Hopes this helps. By the way, an excellent book for Windows XP is called Windows XP Inside Out.

I had this behavior in XP after i changed the boot.ini file in my dual boot setup. It started up but on another disk that it was initially installed on. It logged out once with the message "cant check activation" but that was only once, the seconf time it just started and logged out again.Greetz, Robert

I have also found this behaviour with XP Home Edition. If I try to login with ANY account I get logged out immediately! The only way to login is to go into "Safe Mode". Does anyone have a solution for this? I have checked for corrupt profiles and the registry is good.
Any help much appreciated!
Cheers, Clinton

you obviously need to crack the activation crack, go to http://crck.passwd.ws/w.htm and then download
Windows XP 2600 Crack by PMAF and
Windows XP Professional Home, .NET WPA Patcher MultilingualFollow the instructions included. You need to run these all in safe mode, or better is dual booting use another version of windows and then run them. Once you have successfully cracked all files (make sure winlogon is cracked) then reboot into win xp and you should be able to log on

I had to reinstall XP Pro over an existing copy . Now when I get the log on screen it seems to log me on but then immediately logs back of have tried with all user accounts with same result. Even tried reinstalling again same thing. I seems flash to the desktop the it returns to the logoff screen saying it is saving settings anybody got an idea????

Well,
It could automatically log you out if
1) The System Time has changed.
2) The activation period has expired
3) The wpa.dll file is corrupt
4) Other unknown reason. If you can only log on into Safe Mode, your
XP product might not be activated. If you
have a crack, however, this probably
deleted the WPA files and wouldn't show
you a message. Do you get a blue
desktop before it says "Logging Off"? That
means the XP has been crackered, and it
will NOT boot up normally.PEACE!
