If my desktop is setup to use my AD domain controller for time, do I still need to apply the Microsoft DST patch for XP? I have installed on the server.

I don't know, but it wouldn't hurt to apply it to your XP installation(s) anyway. If you have Automatic Updates turned on, it has already been installed.

You might still need to install the DST patch.
The domain controller may be issuing the time as UTC if it is using Network Time Protocol and you will need the patch to convert to local time correctly.
However, as Tubesandwires says, it wont hurt to install it and it probably already is.
