Every time I start up my compaq. My windows wont start up. it says that its still loading. and i let it load for a couple of hours and its still in the same stop. It also says that there is something wrong with my OPS. I think that it wants me to reload my windows but i dont have a disc and it would have to cost me to my a new windows. is there any other way of fixing it instead of reloading windows?

Do you have the installation disks that came with that computer?

It sounds like you have a faulty video driver.
Try hitting F8 after the initial DOS screens. Select Safe Mode when the options screen comes up. If the unit boots; reinstall the drivers from the Compaq Installation Disks.

If you still have trouble call Tech support at Compaq. They have people waiting to help with this very issue.
