Almost all CPUs are 64-bit these days. What is it you expect to gain by switching to Vista 64?

i was hoping for a smoother, faster system,i have loaded it in and it is quite a nice system and had very few compatability problems.the few incompatabilty problems i did have were essential to me like the broadband server disk loaded in for a couple of seconds only to be told it was not 64 bit compatable so i was unable to get online (obviously essential)and other niggly little issues that did'nt appear in xp. i wish i bought the 32 bit now or saved my money and stuck with reliable xp.sorry about the long reply i am new to posting messaging and thing's like this.
