I was wondering if MS Updates like hotfixes/security updates take up space after downloading alot? It seems that my comp is running slower then before I downloaded these updates. I have a good antivirus/firewall program. Plus, how would I remove the MS Updates from my comp? Especially the ones that displays "cannot be removed" in the Add/Remove Programs. Thanks in advance for those who helped!

You can delete the Uninstaller folders from Windows directory. Those Uninstaller folders contains information (files) to uninstall installed updates (hotfixes). So if you have no need for uninstalling, you can remove them. Those folders are named $NtUninstallKBnumber$, like $NtUninstallKB941693$. To be safe, don't delete ANYTHING ELSE than those folders.
Those folders are HIDDEN, so you have to enable "show hidden folders/files" option.

The only way those updates could affect performance is if your hard drive is almost full.
Go to My Computer and look at the total space and the free space. 15% free is the absolute minimum needed. More is much better. You may need to run Defrag. Go to Disk Management and analyze that partition.

That's absolutely correct! Downloaded stuff only takes up space on your hard drive. It does not affect performance. If your system is slowing down it's due to other factors like having unnecessary applications running all the time, not enough RAM for the ones that you are running, malware, etc.

I want to Thank You all for helping me out. But as dumb as I can get... I started deleting some of those files before I even read your helpful posts. ERR! I want to kick myself! I crashed me computer doing that & now I don't have a clue what to do next! Please read my other post "My Computer Crashed! HELP!!!" Thank you advance for all your help!
