when i use windows update its promts me to download the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130) but it downloads it then its says it cannot be installed and i cannot use windows update untill it installs and yes my copy of windows xp is valid its not pirted. please help

When u try to download that and update it, is there anything else open? When u try and do that, try and have only windows update window open only, as opening other programs or software, even msn messenger could interfere with the updating process. So close every program and software thats open and try doing it again, and hopefully that should let it work. ;-)
