When trying to run windows update, I get a message Administrator's only. I am the admistrator. I also tried in safe mode and still can't get it. I contacted microsoft, and they keep emailing me different things to try. So far, nothing works.

Hi Lisa22, What have you tried that didn't work? What did MS tell you to do so we will not repeat the same thing all over again.

Please elaborate more on what you may have done that may have caused the problem and what you have dont to try and fix it. When you say you cant install windows updates that may have more to do with install privaledges than win update. Have you tried installing anything else? Let us know

"Administrators Only" Error Message When You Attempt to Use the Windows Update Site L L

Did you by any chance change any security settings? I had the same problem when i followed the advice from this page http://pestpatrol.com/support/howto/how_to_clear_a_hijack.asp#DisablingScripting After undoing a few changes i could get updates without any problems again.

maybe its the version of windows update. go to google and search "windows version 5 beta" and download the latest version of windows update. hope this solves your problem
