Is there any way to remove all of windows updateds at once? Because i have many installed and i want all removed without having to remove one by one and having to reboot after each one.

Thanks in advance

Remove? No, there is a tool to install them all at once available from microsoft.

In most cases using ADD/REMOVE programs will remove them without rebooting (or it will ask you, say no and go to the next one)

Boot from the XP cd and go to the install menu. Select repair existing installation. You won't lose any data, but all updates will be gone.

Per,

I agree with you but what if Glauco Fonseca only have Restore CD or Recovery CD? It will not work with those CDs.

I will still ask why someone would do something so stupid without giving a reason and yes people ask as well as do stupid things in this world.

Our job is to answer questions and help people do what they want to do. If we had to keep them from doing stupid things we'd quickly use up all of our free time and Computing.nets bandwidth!

Good point. I think that whenever we come across threads asking about how to debunk MS updates, all we should say is "Are you absolutely sure sure you wanna do this? Or, "We don't recommend doing this but if you still want to, its your call. Just remember we told you this."

I tried that the other day when someone who didn't even know what flashing his BIOS meant insisted he needed to do this to solve a rebooting problem.

I thought of telling him it meant to drop his drawers in front of his monitor, but I restrained myself and tried to explain what he needed to do, warning him that updating his BIOS was a last resort.

But I got the impression that whatever I said, his mind was made up to flash the BIOS regardless.

The point is, while we try to help, people are eventually going to do what they want.

Exactly. After all, it's their toy, let them do whatever they want! We gave them the possible solution . . . which now draw upon me to reflect on what we gotta say henceforth.

I understand you're having a problem but would you mind telling us what you have done JUST BEFORE this damn thing crippled your toy?

This will certainly help us to figure out the possible solutions for most cases in no time!

As the Bible says, ASK and you will get help.
So let the visitors help us to help them.

Last night I was invited to give a lecture at a senior center. At the end of my lecture I couldn't help feeling that I have just spoken to an audience with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), which is why we gotta ASK questions.

So True!

Trying to get helpful information out of some people is near impossible!

I guess we should be flattered that they think so highly of us that we can solve a problem with as little information as "my computer doesn't work"!!

On some posts we have to keep asking the same questions over and over again because when the person that has the problem finally does respond back, it's usually to just repeat the problem they told us about in the first place.

It has helped a lot since the posting have required them to state what OS they have as well as CPU and RAM. But I would like to see a simple questioneer that needs to be filled in with information such as:

When did the problem start?

What are the EXACT symptoms?

What were you doing just before the problem started?

What hardware/software has been added recently?

What have you already done to try and resolve the problem?

ETC!

I'm sure this would be impractical to enact, but it would make life easier :)

By the way, if they still don't know what they did, suggest selling the computer to a local pawn store (so as to save the precious COMPUTER from THEM).
