I posted a messege about this a week ago and got a good amount of helpful tips. I tried all of those possibilities and each of them has not yet solved the problem.

When I attempt to download updates through Windows Update, it says "failed!" for each one of them.

Someone mentioned that it could be due to a firewall. Well, I don't have one through Norton, but when I open AOL 9.0, it Detects a firewall...? I go to the firewall option in AOL but it doesn't appear to give me the option to diable it for the time being. And it also appears to be something I have to additionally purchase (which I haven't).

I just need to download these updates...My PC needs 'em pretty bad right now and it isn't happening.

Thanks to whomever can give me a hand.

Check your date and time settings in Windows and in your bios settings. Windows update will not function if date is incorrect.

Windows has a firewall built into it. Check those settings and the time settings listed above. Also like was mentioned. You can order the actual update cd from microsoft for sp2. I think its free of charge.
