Comment:

I havent been able to access windows update in ages. Everytime i try to access it it says i need to be logged in as an administrator. But i dont seem to have an administrator account that i can log into. The worst bit of it is i cant create one either as every time i try to go to user accounts it says "wrong number of arguements or invalid property assignment". I have no idea what i can do to resolve this. Any ideas?

I would check your Account settings. For various information on accounts, start Win XP "Help and Support Center" and in the search field enter Accounts.
