Windows Update broke

CPU/Ram: P3/512MB
Product: Dell 4100
Comment:

Windows update will not start and when I try to manually start it I get the following message:

Could not start Automatic Update service on local computer

Error: 1083 The executable program that this service is configured to run in does not empliment the service.

Now what?
