hey!
i would think this is question, but every one i've asked can't seem to give me an answer!
i've noticed that the menu/item fade in windows 2000 seems smoother/quicker than it is in windows xp. why is that? is there any way to make the windows xp menu/item fade any smoother/quicker? i don't want to turn it off. i like the fade in and fade out of stuff, but i like it better in windows 2000.
i hope someone here knows the answer, cuz no one i've asked so far does!

Right click on My Computer...click on the Advanced tab. Under Performance, click Settings. It should open to the Visual Effects tab. Select the Custom button & pick & choose what you want from the list. Personally, I want performance, not "special effects", so I only have the last 3 on the list checked. Click Apply when finished.
