My BIOS reports my hard drive UDMA4 and my cd rom at UDMA2 but when I installed Win XP sp1.... my hard drive reports at UDMA3 and my cd rom at UDMA1. Can anyone tell me what I can do??? Latest chipset drivers and IDE drivers have been installed. Perhaps I can change UDMA speed manually in registry???

I actually did some digging around and seems like VIA chipsets and Win XP don't like each other to much. But haven't found a fix for the problem.
