When i have several applications open at the same time. Some windows always bring themselves to the "front" of my desktop while other "flash" in the task bar. How can i stop those that coem to the front?

The taskbar flash is typically to warn of a problem. Some programs have an "always on top" box to select in there options or preferences menus the trick is to find it. I know that most media players have this and some programs as well.
