Comment:
I recently re-installed XP Professional and ran into a problem. Task scheduler does not work which does not allow me to re-install Norton Antivirus. My error message is
"x8007052e: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try again."
Does anyone know how I can get my run-as name and passwords to match? Thanks

the user account you are using.. Is it set to a Limited account? Try making it a Administrator account then reinstall. Or at the login screen. do this.
Press "ALT,CNTRL,DEL" relese "ALT,CNTRL,DEL" This sould give you a new login screen, type "Administrator" and log in.
Now install Norton.
