windows task scheduler does not run

OS: Windows XP Pro
CPU/Ram: pentium 4/512MB

Task scheduler does not automatically start on my server when it is supposed to. The only way that we can get tasks to run is when we reset our password and complete the tasks manually. We have been unsuccesful thus far. HELP ME PLEASE!

Have you tried stopping the scheduler service, waiting a few moments and then restarting it?
