running windows xp and i am unable to click a link when i search on internet(using firefox) it redirects me to ad companies. also whenever i leave my computer on for about 3-4 hours it freezes and have to manually shut down by holding power button. i have done scans with avg and avira but no viruses. help please

Sounds like malware or trojans maybe. I am not the expert here I am sure you will get better answers from others, but I would download and run malwarebytes anti-malware. get it here:

Before you run the scan, and I would do a full sacn you need to shutdown whatever antivirus software you are running. Sometimes they conflict.
