windows startup error - drive not ready

Specs: Windows XP SP2, 1Gb
i received this when i log on to windows and i cant cancel it!

windows - drive not ready

The drive is not ready; its door may be open. Please check drive and make sure that a disk is inserted and that the drive door is closed.

<Cancel> <Try Again> <Continue>

when i cancel it, it is coming again and again!

what can i do to remove this?

Put a floppy in the floppy drive and insert and remove it several times

There's a little lever inside the drive that can hang sometimes.

Alternately, disconnect the cables from the back of the floppy drive and reboot.

i have no floppy drive! i removed my floppy drive as i dont use it!! si i dont know whats the prob here!!

i removed my floppy drive ..

Does BIOS & Windows Device Manager know that? If not, read this thread & make the modifications.
