Windows Setup error

I've formatted my hard drive many times already and used FAT32 and NTFS at different times. When i go through WinXP SP2 setup i get a..."An error occurred while setup was updating partition information on 39261mb disk at Id 0 on Bus 0 on atapi [MBR]. Setup cannot continue."
I tried taking out my hard drive and moving it to my other computer to see if there was something wrong with the hard disk but it works perfectly!?!. I even installed windows XP on it on my other computer and it now does a dual boot with the other drives.
My new board is the RS482-M ECS...i don't know what else could be wrong.

Sounds like a issue with where the IDE cable connects to your motherboard. If it's a new motherboard, I would consider exchanging it and getting a new one
