My husband has found that windows has some sort of server on it, or it acts as one, I am not sure exactly, but the bottom line is he wants to know how to access it, open it, see whats in it, but can't.
Does anyone know how this can be done?

And one other thing, why cant netmeeting be uninstalled?
I searched the posts and found the command to put in the run box, to uninstall it, and it said it was uninstalled, when I restarted, but the folder is still there, with all the files in it, and I can not delete the folder, so I went and tried to delete the files one by one, and they keep coming back. So I have 4 of each file in the recycle bin, and the folder still has them in it.... Thats weird right?

You are going to have to be a bit more precise than that Jenni. Windows XP can be a server on a Peer to Peer Network. It can also be a client, both at the same time. What it cannot be is a Network Server.

Some programme can be configured to act as servers like Web Servers, FTP Servers, Instant Messaging applications. All these will work on Windows XP.

An FTP server is an application to allow people to download and upload programmes to your computer.

If you don't know what an FTP Server is and what it does, then you really shouldn't be using one. They need to be configured properly otherwise they can lead to all sorts of garbage ending up on your computer.

Windows doesn't have a FTP server running on it unless you installed it or some spyware or virus installed it. How did your husband find this server?
