Hi,
One of the software vendors I use for my multimedia recording sent me a zipped file to download so that I would not have to purchase the plug-in again. When I click the file, I get a pop up that says Windows found the file to be harmful and it is blocking access to it. I trust the vendor as I have been using their software for several years. Windows offers an option to click for info on how to open the files that have been blocked. However, their option is not working. I tried copying and pasting the file from the e-mail, but it will not paste onto the C drive. Is there a way to turn off the security? Thanks!
Windows' instructions are below:If you are certain that you trust this file and want to open it, follow the instructions below.
Save the file onto your computer.
Click Start, click My Computer, and navigate to the file that you saved.
Right-click the file that you saved, and then click Properties.
Click Unblock near the bottom of the dialog box.

Without knowing the source of the sender, only YOU will have to first answer this important question: Do you have absolute trust or faith in the source of the download link given you in the form of an e-mail?

Hi XpUser,
I definitely have absolute trust from the source. I've used their software since 1993.
Thanks,
Veets
